Join Us for a Wedding-ish Celebration

November 1, 2024

our story

Once upon a time, in the vast universe of social media, Daniel sent Marissa a message and she responded and then he sent her another. And then... nothing happened. For years. Yes, you read that right – years. Marissa likes to think she was playing hard to get, but truth be told, in true Marissa ADHD fashion, she just forgot to respond, although she claims she did in her head.

Fast forward to Marissa manifesting Daniel by writing out a list of what she wanted in a partner, and then BAM out of nowhere, Daniel reappears, like a knight in shining digital armor—or more accurately, in her 'people you should know'. A little tipsy and irrationally angry at him for no real reason (some things never change), she sent a message that would change their lives. This time, Daniel was smart enough to get out of her DMs and get her number because... well, her brain.

Looking back, they laugh at how they never met sooner. They have so many common interests and friends, it seems impossible. But let's be real – it would have never worked back then. The timing, as frustratingly late as it seemed, was actually perfect. Life had its own plans, and it knew they needed to grow before finding each other.

Fast forward again, and here they are, blending their chaotic lives with four amazing kids. "Busy" doesn't even begin to describe it. Between school runs, sports practices, and trying to remember what a quiet evening looks like, they somehow managed to plan a wedding. And then...

they postponed it for a year. Because why not add a little more suspense to their love story?

So here they are, finally ready to have a wedding-ish celebration, proving that good things come to those who wait... and wait... and wait. But honestly, they wouldn’t have it any other way. Their journey might have been delayed, detoured, and downright complicated, but it’s theirs, and it’s perfect.

With love,

Marissa & Daniel

Your Presence is Present Enough!

We are so thrilled to have you join us and your presence is all we need but if you feel compelled to give a gift the registry links is here: HoneyFund.com/trehernrennaker

As many of you know, together we have four busy, amazing, and expensive kids. Needless to say, life is full, and our home is already overflowing with all the kitchen supplies and household items and kid stuff we could ever need.

From day one, we have prioritized experiences over stuff, and we love traveling together and exploring new places. For our honeymoon, we are traveling to the island of St. Lucia where we can balance relaxation and adventure. Instead of traditional gifts, we would deeply appreciate contributions to our honeymoon fund. Your generosity will help us take a much-needed vacation away from our children and create unforgettable memories together. We have set our registry up at HoneyFund.com/trehernrennaker

Thank you for your love and support. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

FAQ

M&D

What is a wedding-ish celebration?

We wanted to have a wedding but as we were planning we realized that we did not connect with a lot of the traditional or typical wedding components - so we decided to do keep the parts we loved, add some of our own, and leave out the rest making it ‘wedding-ish’

Where do I park for ceremony?

The wedding location is a short walk from the parking area at Oak Hollow, there is plenty of onsite parking, we would suggest arriving 15-20 minutes before ceremony is set to begin.

I can’t make the ceremony, should I still come?

Yes! We know that a Friday afternoon wedding is a scheduling challenge - but please feel free to come celebrate with us post-ceremony at The balcony in Downtown Fairhope. Cocktail hour starts at 5:30pm and the bride and groom are planning to make their entrance at 6:30pm. See the schedule page for more information.

Where is the reception?

It is at The Balcony in downtown Fairhope - located above Another Broken Egg on the corner of Fairhope Ave and Church Street - it is located on the second floor of the building. The entrance is typically marked with a sign and is off of Fairhope Ave. See the event details page for more information.

Where should we park for the reception?

We recommend parking at the public parking garage on Church Street - it is about a block away from the balcony. It will be first Friday in Fairhope on 11/1, so the road in front of The Balcony (Fairhope Ave) will be blocked off from 5pm-8pm. There is also nearby off street parking on Section and Church St. See the event details page for more information.

Are you registered?

We are registered at HoneyFund - click here to view the registry

What time does the reception end?

The reception will conclude at 11pm.

Will there be a meal served?

Yes, there will be a charcuterie during the cocktail hour and a buffet style dinner will be served at the reception.

Will there be assigned seating?

No, there are not assigned seats, the dinner is buffet style with cocktail seating.

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP via our RSVP section on this website

Pensacola International Airport (PNS)

  • Location: 2430 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504
  • Distance to Fairhope: Approximately 70 miles (about a 1hour drive)
  • Website: Pensacola International Airport
  • Ground Transportation: Rental cars, taxis, and ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft are available at the airport. Several shuttle services also offer transportation to Fairhope.

Mobile Regional Airport (MOB)

  • Location: 8400 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608
  • Distance to Fairhope: Approximately 45 miles (about a 1:15hour drive)

  • Ground Transportation: Rental cars, taxis, and ride-sharing services are available at the airport.

We recommend flying into Pensacola International Airport for the best combination of flight options and convenience. Both airports offer a range of rental car services, which are highly recommended for the drive to Fairhope. Alternatively, taxi services and ride-sharing options are available. Although a longer drive, there are sometimes decent flight options from Destin/FortWalton Airport and Gulfport.
